The Reception & Fine Art

Our warm welcome to Plas Llangoedmor is like no other. As you enter you will encounter ‘Winnie & George’ our ancient marble statues that guard our front doors. We pride ourselves on being not just dog friendly but slightly obsessed and that starts with your very first steps into to the house! After passing the rack of welly boots and dog towels, (for guest use), you then enter the grand front Hall where you gain the first view of the contemporary fine art that adorns the whole of the ground floor. If you fall in love with a picture you can buy the original or commission a copy courtesy of our partnership with Canfas fine-art gallery. We love to greet our guests personally and celebrate the start of a wonderful stay with a refreshment whilst we check you in and take your luggage up to your room

Gym

There are so many fabulous beaches and woods for the morning run or Yoga but just in case the weather is not so clement we also have an indoor gym perfect for a morning work-out. Equipped with a running machine, cross trainer, rowing machine and mats.

Groom Room COMING SOON!

The Groom Room is designed to transform a dirty dog into a pampered pooch. It is to be expected that when you enjoy the great outdoors of West Wales mud will be regularly encountered so we have provided a luxury washing facility so you can clean and dry your dogs before entering the mansion.

The Groom Room is situated at the rear of the main building, it is signposted from the front entrance of Plas and once you have a freshly cleaned pooch you can enter the mansion just opposite the Groom Room. Converted from the original cheese making room the large shallow slate sinks are still in situ, one of them has been re-purposed as a lift-in bath for small dogs. The room also has a bigger bath for dogs of all sizes, underfloor heating, dryers and plenty of warm towels so you can dry and style your dog to your heart’s content. We can also arrange for our mobile grooming partners to come to site if you want a cut as well as a blow-dry! Enquire on booking your room as our local groomers get extremely busy.

Please note our Groom Room will be ready Autumn 2023, in the mean time we have shower washing facilities for your dog so it is still easy to manage those dirty paws!
Please enquire on booking your room as our local groomers get extremely busy.

We are currently restoring the run of original out-house buildings and in the process of creating Pete’s Pub. This room contains an enormous Tudor fireplace for spit roasting and this part of the building used to be the butchery room with the original meat hooks still evident in the ceiling.

Gardens

Plas Llangoedmor is surrounded by 30 acres of fields and woodland scattered with specimen trees now reaching their maturity. Immediately adjacent to the main house is a beautiful Victorian water garden complete with cascades and a series of small pools ending in a large deep pond that will eventually be restored to its original purpose as a natural swimming pool. If you fancy a game of croquet then we have a lawn in front of house just for that. We also have a fabulous working Kitchen garden hidden behind 20ft stone walls. Our fields often have cattle and sheep roaming so we have fenced off a secure exercise paddock that has secure gated access to the road and footpath into the woodland. In the summer we even provide some agility equipment for you to have fun with your dogs off-lead.
